We are extremely pleased to announce that phase 1 of Festivals For All (FFA) has successfully gone live.
We were approached by FFA to build a bespoke UK music festival portal to provide information on all UK music live events. A main project requirement was that the website needed to be content managed for the team at FFA to keep information fresh as well as accurate. We therefore implemented a custom control panel for the management of Festivals, Artists, News and Tickets.
In addition to the content management facility we added a number of features to the frontend of the website to provide guests and members alike with a personalised experience. Some of the features include:
Widgets on Homepage
Visitors can move these so they can have the items which are important to them at the top of the page;
Recommended For You
Visitors who create a profile can view festivals that match their needs based on custom recommendation engine;
Festival for me
On each festival page, icons depicting genres and facilities are shown. If they’re orange they matches your requirements, leaving the blue icons to show what else is at that festival.
Local Festivals
Simply put in your location and it will find festivals close to home;
Festival Playlist
Lets you listen to the artists appearing at the festival;
Tickets
Links to the festivals approved ticket agencies, we also provide tickets for upcoming gigs;
Jobs
Details of opportunities to work at a festival whether volunteering, paid or performing;
Local Hotels
Displays hotels near to festivals for those who prefer a more relaxed stay;
Food
Details of the food and drink you can expect to enjoy;
Artist CD's, DVD's and Merchandise
CD's, DVD's and Merchandise related to the artists visitors are browsing is available;
Festival Updates
Registered visitors can join festival mailing lists to receive news and lineup information.
