Once again we’ve started receiving a number of calls from residents in South Woodham Ferrers telling us they’ve been cold called by somebody warning them that their computer has multiple infections. The cold caller then asks for access to their machine over the internet where they can then search for personal information.
We would recommend that anyone receiving such calls does not allow the caller access to their computer or give them credit card details to ‘fix’ the issues.
